Amidst a couple of Zola novels right now that will be reviewed in the next couple of days, I must step away from a Paris for a moment and highlight the fiction long list 2008 at Three Percent. The coverage itself is fantastic and the 25 titles on the long list will be whittled down to ten in a couple of weeks, but today my review of Metropole by Ferenc Karinthy is up. Metropole is on the long list and well worth a look-see. Well, friends, please forgive the slow output of late but I have some things in the hopper and hope to share them with you soon. Meanwhile, long live translated literature!
