NYC,NYC, and NYC

Some of you may know that this is the week we find out which book will win the Best Translated Book of 2008. There are ten finalists in two categories - fiction and poetry. And on February 19 at the stunning Melville House Publishing, we will announce the winner and runners-up. Looking forward to mingling with all the brilliant translators, publishers, and promoters of translated literature. This is sure to be a creative and inspiring event. Melville House is located in the Dumbo area of Brooklyn, a cool area from what I hear. I haven't been to NYC in ten years and looking forward to being awed by the architecture. Plus, if you're in NYC, you might catch me wandering around Murray Hill where my own novel is set circa 1934. And one more thing, I hope to post another review before I leave on Wednesday...we shall see what time has in store for me. Otherwise, I will post from NYC about the ceremony and the winners. Drop me a line if you're in NYC...bye for now, friends.
