How about a vote for Tricky Click?

Check out this interesting vid of translator Richard Sieburth talking about and reading from The Salt Smugglers by Gerard de Nerval.
Some of the folks might have tippled a little, but even at that, an interesting piece on de Nerval and the translation.

The Myth of Bolano?:  Something else for Edith Hamiltion et al. to look into to...the Roberto Bolano myth.  Originally having appeared in the La Nacion, this article written by Horacio Castellanos Moya (damn fine novelist) has been translated and is now on display over at Guernica.  The article addresses how Latin American literary luminaries are perhaps misunderstood and marketed in an easily digestible, non-threatening cliche.  It will make you think, and rethink your own perceptions of Latin American literature and their greats.
